On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at approximately 10:30 am, uniform officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Sherwood Heights Drive in Oakville (Clearview).
Investigation as a result of the traffic stop led to the seizure of a loaded .22 calibre handgun and a variety of drugs which included fentanyl, methamphetamine, oxycodone tablets, powdered and crack cocaine along with more than $4,400 in Canadian currency.
An 18 year-old man from North York has been charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Crack Cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Meth
- Possession of a controlled substance – Oxycodone pills
21 year old male from Toronto has been charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Crack Cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Meth
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone pills
- Possession of a controlled substance – Oxycodone pills
- Possession of a restricted firearm
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing that there is a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Unauthorized possession of weapon
- Carry a concealed weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Breach of firearms regulation
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm knowing that its serial number has been defaced
Both accused have been held pending a bail hearing on December 5, 2019 in Milton.
