Traffic Stop in Oakville Leads to Drug & Firearm Seizure

​On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at approximately 10:30 am, uniform officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Sherwood Heights Drive in Oakville (Clearview).

Investigation as a result of the traffic stop led to the seizure of a loaded .22 calibre handgun and a variety of drugs which included fentanyl, methamphetamine, oxycodone tablets, powdered and crack cocaine along with more than $4,400 in Canadian currency.

An 18 year-old man from North York has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Crack Cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Meth
  • Possession of a controlled substance – Oxycodone pills

21 year old male from Toronto has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Crack Cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Meth
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone pills
  • Possession of a controlled substance – Oxycodone pills
  • Possession of a restricted firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing that there is a firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Carry a concealed weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Breach of firearms regulation
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing that its serial number has been defaced

Both accused have been held pending a bail hearing on December 5, 2019 in Milton.
